GREEK GEOMETRIC FIGURINE OF TWO HORSES WITH CART Ca. 800 - 700 BC. A bronze pair of horses, shown standing side by side with elongated bodies, the limbs rendered as simple cylinders, the necks broad and rising to tubular muzzles. The forelegs of both horses are fixed to a shared flat base at the front, while the hind legs are joined to a second rectangular base at the rear. A shallow, open cart is positioned atop their backs, resting over the hindquarters.
