GREEK SESSILE KANTHAROS WITH OLIVE LEAVES.
Ca. 420 - 380 BC. A sessile kantharos with a broad everted lip, twin loop handles, a tapering body and a low moulded foot. Both sides decorated on a black-glaze ground with added white and orange: an upper frieze of upright leaves above a horizontal olive spray flanked by borders of vertical strokes.
