GREEK SILVER CARINATED BOWL WITH GEOMETRIC AND VEGETAL MOTIFS Ca. 500 BC. A silver bowl with a wide flaring rim and carinated body tapering to a rounded base. The surface is decorated with an incised frieze of alternating palmettes and vegetal elements enclosed within arching bands. Above, a band of nested chevrons encircles the shoulder beneath plain bands at the neck. The underside is decorated with a central radiating rosette surrounded by concentric circles and repeated vegetal motifs.
