GREEK TERRACOTTA WINE AMPHORA Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A terracotta wine amphora with a tall cylindrical neck, a broad, rounded shoulder, and a tapering body terminating in a narrow ring foot. Two robust handles extend from the upper shoulders to the neck. A series of finely incised horizontal lines encircles the shoulder. For similar see: S.
