First English edition, translated by John Phillips, of the Relation nouvelle d'un voyage de Constantinople published in Paris in 1680. It is illustrated with a portrait of Sultan Mehmed IV engraved by J. Sturt and 14 plates engraved by F. H. van Hove, including 8 folding hors-texte plates and 6 figures in the text. One cap damaged, small worm work in the back of the volume, angular lack on pp. 71-72 and on the first white endpaper. Blackmer, n°751.
