Large lidded vase with Chinoiserie faience, light paste blue glaze. Octagonal baluster shape with a short neck, the bell-shaped lid with a spherical knob. Rich, almost all-over decoration in cobalt blue and black (or dark manganese violet). Revolving, multi-figure, scenic decoration with Chinese in a landscape, Chinese-style hanging ornaments to the foot and shoulder. Unmarked; marked "5" to the lid. H. 50.5 cm.
