Large Empire pendulum "L'amour conduit par la Fidelité" attributed to Antoine André Ravrio
Finely chiselled and fire-gilt bronze and marble veined in various shades of green. Fully sculpted depiction of Armor with a torch and a chariot pulled by naturalistic dog figures. Glazed dial in the shape of a chariot wheel with enamelled chapter ring. Pendulum movement with pendulum spring and half-hour strike on bell. Rectangular base on baluster feet, the front with a banner with a motto held by putti. Designed by Antoine André Ravrio, c. 1808. partially damaged; marble rest. Two feet missing. H. 54 cm. 52 cm x 15 cm.
