Large historicist lion figure with crown, sceptre and shield, silver, gilt. On an oval terrain base, an upright lion with green coloured cabochons as eyes, an old count's crown and raised tail, holding a sceptre in his right front paw and leaning on a shield with his left. On the shield between stylised leafy tendrils three cartouches with the head of Medusa, a crowned lion rising to the right and a woman carrying two torches. Marked 800, pseudo marks. Weight approx. 3800 g. H. 41 cm. 19 cm x 29 cm. A German silver lion with green cabochon eyes, crown, scepter and shield. Standard mark 800, pseudomarks. German. Hanau. Ludwig Neresheimer & Co. Around 1900.
