Recessed shape above the round stand with a slightly sloping, matching curved rim. Above a coat of arms with a golden crown, chain and Prussian Order of the Eagle as well as the crowned monogram "FR" of the Pomeranian Count Heinrich von Podewils. Six gilded shells in relief on the banner. In the centre and on the flag fine Indian blossoms and scattered flowers in kakiemon style. Polychrome painting with gold decoration. Designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler and Johann Friedrich Eberlein, circa 1741/42, gilder's letter "P". Impressed number "21". Incised size no. "3". Centreboard mark. D. 35.5 cm
Count and Foreign Minister von Podewils (1695-1760) was a peacemaker in the First Silesian War (1740-1742) and may therefore have received this service as a gift from Frederick the Great. The shape (labelled as "Podewilsfacon") is a replica of a coat of arms service that was given to Elector Clemens August shortly before.
