Large, unusual baroque lidded cup. Silver, partially gilt. Slightly domed base ring surrounded by fine, curved godrons, merging into a multiple moulded body base and conically widening, smooth wall, ending in a narrow lip rim. Profiled, domed lid, surrounded by a delicate, chased ornamental band and crowned by a raised leaf wreath, with a smooth, almond-shaped knob in the centre. Marked, hallmark, year letter "D", Master Michael III Kresner/Kressner/Krezner (becomes Master 1758). Weight approx. 575 g. H. 25 cm.
