Large silver historicist bridal cup, partially gilt. Fully sculpted depiction of a female figure in a Renaissance dress with a stand-up collar, the bell-shaped skirt serving as a cupola. In the raised hands, between two open-worked, voluted bows, a movably clamped cup. Rich decoration in the form of volutes, scrollwork and fruit bundles over a chased ground. Fig. 13 lot, maker's mark. Weight approx. 710 g. H. 34.5 cm. A tall German Historism parcel-gilt silver stirrup-cup. Standard mark 13, maker's mark. German. Hanau. Ludwig Neresheimer & Co. Circa 1880.
