GROUP OF EGYPTIAN STONE SCARABS Ca. 1550 - 332 BC A collection of five scarabs crafted from various materials, each displaying an ovoid form complemented by naturalistic features. Two of the scarabs feature hieroglyphic inscriptions beneath their domed surfaces. A suspension hole is drilled lengthwise through the body of each scarab, allowing for easy mounting on a necklace or a swivel ring. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
