STATUARY GROUP APHRODITE AND EROS The divinity is depicted standing in slight contrapposto, her right leg bent forward. The goddess is dressed in a chiton that is tight at the waist and covered with a large pleated himation, which is brought down to hip level and raised at the back by her right hand. On his left shoulder is the god Eros, with youthful, naked features. There are two holes in his shoulder blades, where his wings were once attached. White marble with ochre patina. Height 42 cm Hellenistic art, 2nd-1st century BC An Asia Minor Late Hellenistic marble group of Aphrodite and Eros.
