A tourelée woman personifying the City of Paris, seated on the left on a vessel, looks out over the buildings of the Hôtel de Ville; she places her left hand on a cartouche charged with an escutcheon bearing the coat of arms of the City; on the prow of the vessel is perched a cockerel. In the exergue: FLVCTVAT NEC MERGITVR. Signed G. PRVD'HOMME on the right.
