GÜBELIN by Jean-Claude SCHWEIZER Bracelet from the "Karussell" collection designed by Jean-Claude Schweizer for Gübelin in 1969. It is in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold and comprises six abalone mother-of-pearl discs illuminated by cultured pearls measuring approx. 4.9 mm with a beautiful lustre. This jewel is reminiscent of coral reliefs surrounding the sea in iridescent tones and is accompanied by a two-page Gübelin report dated 25 July 2019 nr. 19070124/1 and 2. Signed by Gübelin in various places. Abalone disc dimensions: approx. 24 mm. Length: 21 cm. Gross weight: 78.7 g. While Jean-Claude Schweizer is best known for his paintings, sculptures and hyper-realism, his invitation to design jewellery was the result of Gübelin's desire to create jewellery using an artistic process. Schweizer was not alone in leaving his mark on jewellery collections. Margaretha Dubach worked with Jean-Claude Schweizer on the Sir G and Lady G collections, and Martha Widmer was another. She has left her mark on several decades of artistic creativity, and her creations have won her several awards. There was also Emilio Häfliger, Kurt Flory and many others. The Gübelin family is very proud of this artistic approach, which is the hallmark of the House.
