PEDESTAL TABLE WITH CARYATIDS Circular pedestal table in oak and mahogany and mahogany veneer, mounted in gilt bronze after a model by Jacob-Desmalter. The belt is richly decorated with applied bronzes. Three gilt bronze caryatids support the top of the table and are are linked to the legs by a brace decorated with a central urn flanked by three elegant crouching winged sphinxes in gilded bronze. Antique green circular marble top. Some of the bronzes are signed on the reverse "L Kahn" for Lazare Kahn known as Léon Kahn (1859 - 1925) Empire style, Paris, 19th century, circa 1880.
