A Restauration style gilt-bronze gueridon, stamped by l'Escalier de Cristal The model of this gueridon can be found in one of the famous red notebooks written by Henry Panier, one of the owners of l'Escalier de Cristal. Our piece (see Fig. 1) is described as follows: "Gueridon Empire. 3 feet / griffins feline heads. top / granite (...) from Vosges. (...)" (cfr. A. Masseau, D.
