GUERIDON, SOG. "TABLE À OUVRAGE"
Louis XVI style, Paris circa 1860, signed on plaque Paul Sormani Rue Charlot 10 Paris (Paul Sormani, 1817-1877). After a model by Martin Carlin.
Rosewood and amaranth inlaid with foliate scrolls and fillets. Round "Sèvres" porcelain leaf with flowers and a turquoise-coloured border, framed by a gilded, pierced bronze gallery on a straight, single-layer frame decorated with bronze drapery and a fluted column shaft. Drum-shaped base with two crescent-shaped lids opening into four compartments, on four fluted legs tapering downwards with leaf-shaped sabots and castors.
Ø 36 cm, H 81.5 cm.
Legs slightly loose. Good restored condition.
Provenance: Private property in western Switzerland.
