Height : 77.5 cm - Diam.: 52 cm The sculptor Eugène Cornu (1827-1875) was a draughtsman and works director for the Tahan company. From 1858 onwards, working closely with the Compagnie des Marbres Onyx d'Algérie, they created highly luxurious decorative works that combined onyx with bronze. Around 1873, Eugène Cornu became the director of the company, which was renamed Société des Onyx d'Algérie E. Cornu et Cie.
