Paris, Mercure de France, 1923; in-12, red half-maroquin with corners, ribbed spine decorated with bold and lean gilt fillets, gilt head, cover (Patrice Goy). ☞ One of 13 copies on old Japon à la forme (justified F) first paper. Enclosed an autograph poem by Guérin pasted on the endpapers (2 pp. in-12): Vin du verbe qui déployas des pourpres mortes. It is interesting because it shows the creative process in progress with the search for rhymes, erasures, etc. Ex-libris Charles Hayoit. Title absent from his catalogues.
