It is taken from number 24 of Soirées de Paris (15 May 1914); the general title Poèmes has been crossed out in pencil, and a typographical indication noted in green pencil for the title Prophéties (which will become Sur les prophéties in Calligrammes). At the bottom of the page, Apollinaire has added the last 5 lines of the poem in pencil.
