Guitar-lyre, anonymous work, circa 1810, Paris. Spruce veneered back and curly maple ribs; spruce soundboard; ebony veneered neck, fingerboard and bridge. The bottom of the soundboard has a gilded motif depicting Griffins encircling a lyre, bordered by acanthus leaves. The back and top are partially detached, as are the ebony bars and veneers, and there is a crack in the top. The decorative parts are missing, there are numerous worm holes, and a metal plate has been added to reinforce the junction between the headstock and the handle. Head nut spacing: 45 mm. Pitch: 584 mm. Height Height : 75 cm
