Pierrot à la une or Aubade à la lune
A quarter moon with a moving eye and mouth. The Pierrot is sitting on the tip of the crescent and plays the mandolin; just as the moon opens its mouth and moves its eye, the Pierrot turns his head and sticks out his tongue.
Pressed cardboard and composition set, in good working order, patina cleaned and traditionally restored. Costume in rich satin (partly restored), lacquered metal hands. Music with two tunes. Label of the original tunes. With key. Bears the label of the "Nadaud" shop in Paris. Circa 1890. Height 54 cm.
