HAN DYNASTY POTTERY RABBIT - TL TESTED.
Ca. 202 BC - AD 220.
A pottery figure of a rabbit seated upright on its hind legs. Large, upright ears display subtle traces of red pigment on the inner surfaces. Circular eyes feature a dark outline around the pupils, while the mouth is gently curved. Small paws are positioned in front of the body, and the rounded tail extends upward.

Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
