HAN DYNASTY TERRACOTTA PHEASANT - TL TESTED
Ca. 202 BC - AD 220. A polychrome terracotta figure of a pheasant, with lifelike legs in bronze. It has brown colourful feathers, a red coloured head with wide-open eyes, and a cream-coloured beak. Size: L:130mm / W:180mm ; 355g. Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This piece has been precisely dated using a thermoluminescence analysis carried out by Ralf Kotalla. The report will accompany the lot.
