HARAPPAN TERRACOTTA GODDESS Ca. 3000 - 2500 BC. A terracotta figurine of a female goddess with an elongated body and highly stylised features. The face is modelled with a prominent nose, circular recessed eyes, and a series of incised lines forming a necklace across the chest. Long strands of hair extend evenly over both shoulders. The body is sculpted with rounded breasts, broad hips, and tapering legs aligned closely together. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 2001.305.
