In-4, violet bradel box, with painted crystal plexiglas covers, revealing the richly illustrated cover in colour on both covers, lined slipcase (B. Bichon). First edition of this collection of four stories, each illustrated by a different artist. The cover, frontispiece and title are illustrated with floral compositions in colour by Léon Rudnicki; La Madone with 18 lithographs in colour in the text by Alexandre Lunois; L'Antéchrist with 38 compositions in colour in the text by Eugène Courboin; L'Immortalité with 32 compositions in the text by Carlos Schwabe, including 10 plates in black intaglio, engraved with etching by A. Massé; and finally La Fin du Monde with 46 monochrome drawings engraved in the text by Alexandre Séon. Limited edition of 182 copies on Arches vellum, this one printed for Alfred Cartier.
