FIRST EDITION OF THE FRENCH TRANSLATION, with 7 plates, including 6 fold-outs engraved by Gobin, representing the machines and experiments developed by the author. The work contains a description of the electro-static machine to which the author gave his name. He also perfected vacuum machines and a pneumatic apparatus. Spine lightened but otherwise a very good copy in contemporary morocco.
