HEAVY EGYPTIAN GOLD RING WITH TURQUOISE. Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A gold ring with a thick, rounded hoop that tapers at the shoulders. The bezel cell, flanked by small circular loops, holds an elongated turquoise inlay within a raised border encircled by a twisted gold wire. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition.
