HELLENISTIC GOLD PENDANT WITH RED GARNET AND GREEN GLASS CABOCHONS.
Ca. 300 - 100 BC.
A gold pendant formed as a crescent with a carinated body. The finials are fitted with opposed circular box settings, each holding a red garnet cabochon within a beaded collar. The apex is surmounted by a third circular setting with a green glass cabochon below a tubular suspension loop.
