HELLENISTIC TERRACOTTA TOY CRADLE. Ca. 300 BC. A terracotta toy cradle with a shallow, square-form body. The shorter sides feature rectangular handles, flanked by spiky protrusions at the corners. The interior is painted with a central cross-shaped element, extending into large palmettes on one side and tendrils on the other. The exterior is coated in a warm ochre hue with traces of red and white pigments.
