HELLENISTIC TWISTED HIGH KARAT GOLD RING WITH APOTROPAIC KNOT.
Ca. 200 BC - AD 100 A gold ring with a hoop formed of two twisted cables flanking a plain central strand, meeting at the front in an apotropaic looped knot forming the bezel, the outer angles of the knot finished with spherical terminals.
