In 1929, he was appointed Inspector of Moroccan Arts and later Inspector General of Indigenous Arts in Rabat. In 1937, he participated in the Universal Exhibition in Paris, creating the illuminations for the Moorish café in the Algerian pavilion. He regularly participated in the Salon des Artistes Français and the Society of Fine Arts of Overseas France, receiving important awards.
