Montherlant has transcribed, in beautiful handwriting, two passages from L'Infante's monologue, which opens the play, and signed at the bottom of the page. "I complain to you, I complain to you, Lord! I complain to you, I complain to God! I walk with a sword in my heart. Every time I move, it tears me apart"... Attached is a page of autograph drafts of the working manuscript of Solstice de Juin. The page, before being crossed out with large pen strokes, is extensively crossed out and corrected (1 p. in-4, on the back of a typed page).
