He confirms the authenticity of a drawing that Steeman had submitted to him. "Yes, I admit it: I am indeed the author of the drawing you sent me a photocopy of. But you already knew that. He goes on to mention the house "that belonged at the time to Carlo Spéder, creator of the Peruchet theatre". This must have been the house in Royenne that inspired two of Hergé's drawings. He concluded his letter by asking Hergé to send him an article he had written. "Will you send me your article? I'm curious to know how Stéphane Steeman became a 'Tintinologist'. A great connoisseur and collector of Hergé's work, the humorist Stéphane Steeman became president of the Club des amis de Hergé in 1984.
