[Paris], Collection Drosera, 1950-1954. 3 volumes in-4, framed black half-maroquin, coloured sandpaper boards (orange, green and yellow), names of author and artist on two black morocco pieces on the first board, smooth spine, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine, slipcase ([P.-L. Martin]). Complete set of three works published in this luxurious collection, created by Manou Pouderoux for the Franco-Romanian surrealist Jacques Hérold. It includes three first-edition texts illustrated with five, six and seven original etchings by Jacques Hérold respectively. Each volume was printed in 119 numbered copies, signed by the artist and the author (except, of course, for the letter from Sade). One of the 15 first copies on Hollande vellum with two suites signed by the artist (after a single copy on japon). The etchings are in three states: black, white and colour. A signed and justified artist's proof in colour has been added to the frontispiece of La Terre habitable. The announcement leaflets for volumes II and III are enclosed. Extremely rare on hollande. A very fine copy in elegant coloured sandpaper framed bindings, unsigned but attributable to Pierre-Lucien Martin.
