In front of the mirror depicts a kneeling young woman adjusting her hairstyle. This print was included in the exhibition of Japanese prints at the Toledo Museum of Art in 1936. The exhibition catalogue states that twenty blocks were used and twenty-five prints were needed to make this print. It also states that each print bears a stamp specifying that it is a limited edition of 90 copies. This type of information appears frequently in the catalogue, demonstrating the business acumen of the exhibition's organisers, in particular Watanabe Shōzaburō and Yoshida Hiroshi, and their ability to attract the attention of the American clientele, fond of these details giving the works an exclusive character.
