Indeed, the previous year, he joined the 11th intake of the Indochina School of Fine Arts, alongside other artists such as Nguyen Van Ty, Nguyen Tien Chung and Tran Van Lam. During this period, he won the Angkor Prize following a three-month stay in Cambodia, where he painted, amongst other things, Angkor Wat, monks and the local people. Many of the artist’s works are now held in museums such as the Vietnam National Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow, or in private collections.
