HOLLAND (Henry). Travels in the Ionian isles, Albania, Thessaly, Macedonia, etc., during the years 1812 and 1813. London, Longman et al, 1815. In-4, marbled calf, smooth spine decorated, marbled edges (English binding of the period). First edition, illustrated with a map and 12 copper-engraved plates from the author's drawings.
Henry Holland (1788-1873) made this journey to the Ionian archipelago and northern Greece in his youth, when he was physician to Ali Pasha in Albania. He was much later appointed physician to Queen Victoria.
