"Henri Creuzevault asked Laurens to design models of bindings for the books he had illustrated... Laurens' line drawing was reproduced in lacquer, and Creuzevault "interpreted" the decorative motifs of the backgrounds" (Colette Creuzevault, VI, p. 521 and n°218).
