Characteristic strike in matt blank in the centre and mirror on the rim containing the legends and the exergue on the reverse. Some circulation marks and part of the matt velvet faded. Superb condition. Only 10,897 issued to mark the 40th anniversary of the coronation of Franz Joseph in Hungary. This type is emblematic of the great Hungarian series, remarkable for its minting with the peripheries in proof minting (brilliant) framing a matt portrait of the new king and the coronation scene on the reverse.
