First printing of this edition decorated with figures after Boulanger, Daubigny, Johannot and Meissonier. The illustration comprises 55 figures outside the text, 21 of which are engraved on steel and 34 on wood, printed on light buff-coloured paper. A very fine copy of this remarkable publication in a perfect binding, despite a few rare foxing spots.
