Signed by 13 members of the expedition. In order of signature: John Hunt, Michael Westmacott, Michael Ward, Charles Wylie, George Lowe, George Band, Wilfrid Noyce, Tom Bourdillon, Charles Evans, Edmund Hillary, Griffith Pugh, Tom Stobart and in the right-hand margin Alfred Gregory. Missing are James Morris and, of course, the Sherpas, led by Tenzing. Account of the first ascent of Everest.
Enclosed is a copy of the Times article of 2 June 1953 announcing Hillary and Tenzing's arrival at the summit of Everest.
