Blaizot, René Kieffer, 1909. 2 volumes in-4, burgundy morocco, large decoration composed of recessed compartments decorated with mosaic foliage in different tones, ornate spine, fir green morocco lining decorated with a framed mosaic frieze with a floral motif, brocaded silk endpapers, gilt edges on witnesses, cover, folder and slipcase (Marius Michel). Illustrated with 64 original etchings by Charles Jouas, including 16 full-page compositions. One of the 20 first copies, ours on japon, containing 3 states of the etchings, including the pure etching and an original full-page composition signed by the artist. The copy is enriched with : - around 120 original drawings, very detailed sketches and studies by Charles Jouas, used for the illustration, - two unpublished etchings printed on satin, bound at the beginning of each volume. A very fine set, most of the sketches are very important compositions enhanced with colour and signed by Charles Jouas. Beautiful mosaic binding by Marius Michel.
