Charm/amulet used as medicine and protection against evil spirits. The small figure in dark brown wood has a primitive appearance and is shown standing with his hands on his stomach.

Note: Dayak healers produced small protective figures (hampatong). These "charms" were used to ward off evil spirits.
Provenance: Collected in situ in 1970 by Jacques Cortecero on the River Baram.
