Icon of the Holy Martyr Lyudmila. Tempera and gold on wood. In its 84 zolotniks (875 thousandths) vermeil oklad. Moscow, circa 1890. Goldsmith : Antip KUZMICHEV. Preserved in its gilt and blackened wood kiot. Gross weight: 896.37 g H: 22.5 x W: 18 cm (excluding kiot) The martyred saint Lyudmila was the first Christian princess in the Czech Republic and is considered the patron saint of grandmothers, mothers and Christian teachers. She is surmounted by the Mandylion.
