MARBLE IDOL
Anatolian art, Early Bronze Age II, 2700-2500 BC
Hourglass-shaped idol with engraved decoration forming eyes in pointed circles surmounted by three broken lines representing eyebrows or hair. A cross-hatched frieze, possibly representing a necklace, appears at the narrowing of the body.
