Lot no. 339
The plate is a fine example of Italian noble silverware. The coat of arms with the four eight-spoked wheels belong to the Carrara family. The marquis crown and friezes indicate a patronage of high rank. The hallmark shows an LTC mark placed above a small wheel that, together with the heraldic coat of arms, leads back to Milanese or Lombard workshops active between 1840 and 1870.
