IMPORTANT BIDJAR Iran Circa 1950 Quality silky wool velvet on cotton backing. Edges slightly worn, a few small spots of wear in one end of the carpet. Beautiful and original design (no central medallion, sought-after decorative motifs). Salmon pink field decorated with five rows of palmettes and floral bulbs finely drawn in polychrome and in the form of a mosaic surrounded by garlands of flowers in the form of necklaces of multicoloured stylised diamonds.
