A large rosewood veneered warrior's or president's desk in violet wood frames, standing on four arched legs with bronze hoofs, surmounted by large figures of ancient warrior heads. The curved belt opens to three drawers and is adorned with large female masks on the sides.
Louis XV style, after a model by Charles Cressent (1685 - 1768), kept at the Mobilier National.

A third, formerly in the collections of Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild, is now in the Gulbenkian Museum in Lisbon.
In the 19th century, this desk was reproduced by leading luxury furniture manufacturers such as Henry Dasson, Alfred Beurdeley and François Linke.
